Hi, I’m Dr. Cass.
I am a colorectal surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery, to treat conditions such as diverticulitis, colon and rectal cancers, rectal prolapse, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Additionally, I am skilled in colonoscopy, and anorectal procedures.
I approach my work with compassion and dedication, prioritizing the well-being and comfort of those I treat. Your health is my top priority. My goal is to ensure that each patient feels respected and comfortable discussing their health issues and feels valued and heard. I value an environment where open communication is encouraged and patients are made to feel both respected and involved in their care.
My medical journey began at the University of Maryland, where I graduated from Medical school in 2015. I completed my residency in general surgery at Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian, where I rotated through Memorial Sloan Kettering and HSS (the Hospital for Special Surgery) culminating in 2022, and further honed my skills with a fellowship in colorectal surgery at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, completed in 2023. I spent two years at Memorial Sloan Kettering researching metastasis of pleomorphic sarcoma, and I am board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery as of 2023 and board-certified in colorectal surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery as of 2024. I hold a bachelor's degree From Yale University in Biomedical Engineering.
I am thrilled to have joined Catholic Health Physician Partners as a Colon and Rectal Surgeon.
